WHAT TO DO... Rusty Gate Farm caters for the young, old and in-between by offering bird watching, trout fishing, walks, mountain biking, swimming, paddling and even a foofie-slide for the less faint-hearted! For those less active, a leisurely read in a hammock alongside a shady stream should do the trick. Should you develop a crave for a rave, the “Filling Station” offers an honesty bar, pool table, foose ball, darts, games and a sound-system. Trout Fishing: recently stocked trophy sized rainbow trout of about 2kg in weight! These fish are for catch and release only. Nets must be used to retrieve the fish and only barbless hooks will be allowed. Mountain Biking: follow part of the Cape Epic Trail, or just stay on the farm roads and Jeep tracks which offer lots of hill climbs and tricky downhill routes. Walks: from a reasonable flat 500m around the cottages and follow the "Otter Trail" or the longer 2km's to the State dam.
